The instrument can be used as a pyrometer when you select the IR mode. In this mode you can measure the temperature of surface without contact by using an integrated laser pointer. The surface temperature in °C or °F is indicated in the upper display in this mode. The corresponding HOLD, MAX, MIN or AVG is indicated in the lower display.
